2017-01-28 Bistro Moustache news for February 2017

Post date: Apr 25, 2017 9:50:27 PM

Hello, and belated happy new year, such as it is.

First some political news: the number of people who showed up in DC for the inauguration is hotly debated, 1 million, or was it 2 or 3 million, hard to keep track, but there is no question that more Musette waltzes would have helped boost that number even more. Just sayin'.

Also, Bistro Moustache does NOT support the systematic stigmatization of accordion players, and we will be petitioning the new administration for un-extreme vetting of all musician immigrants who come from countries with a strong French Cafe Music culture, whichever countries those may be.

Now for the actual point of this email:

We've been working on a bunch of new material and we're ready to play them for you. To name a few, some Tangos, lots of very exciting mandolin tunes, and our usual / expected / typical assortment of manouche / gypsy swing / songs. And I'm not only saying that because I like long lists with slashes.

Just 2 chances to see us in February, on either side of the Bay:

Thursday February 16, 6:30 - 9:30pm - Dinner music, no cover.

Mathilde French Bistro, 315 5th Street, San Francisco

Sunday February 19, 2:30pm - 5pm - no cover

Campovida Wine Bar, 103 Linden St, Oakland

Check the website, http://www.bistromoustache.com for more shows, And Facebook and YouTube if I ever get around to posting some of the recordings from last year's shows.

So see you soon, I hope.

Olivier,

for Bistro Moustache.
